PlayCon, Malta’s flagship games and esports event, offered PlanetPlay an excellent opportunity to engage with Mediterranean studios, regional policymakers and emerging creators.


Jude Ower delivered a keynote titled “Empowering Players to Shape the Future of the Planet”, introducing the GREAT project and demonstrating how Play2Act is enabling studios to understand and activate their communities around climate action.


The event also included meetings with Maltese and European developers interested in integrating sustainability themes into their games or participating in future Play2Act roll‑outs. Several universities attending PlayCon expressed interest in using Play2Act data for research on climate communication and player motivation.


The event highlighted Malta’s growing ambition to be a leader in green games innovation and opened doors for future studio partnerships.
