How can citizens help shape more sustainable cities?

Our latest report developed through the GREAT Project (Games Realising Effective and Affective Transformations) explores how interactive, game-based methods can inform urban sustainability policy.

The Green Roofs Case Study in Nicosia, Cyprus, co-designed by Frederick University and Urban Gorillas NGO, invited citizens to debate the benefits and challenges of green roof implementation. Using a dilemma-based serious game, participants explored issues of cost, maintenance, equity, and community impact providing valuable insights for policy makers, planners, and educators.

The report illustrates the use of the GREAT methodology as a participatory tool for gathering citizen perspectives and generating policy-relevant insights on green roofs in Cyprus
